Arrived: welcome to Germany

This photo is one of the moments we do this work for. A group of international nursing professionals arrives at Berlin Brandenburg Airport, greeted with a banner in the colours of Germany and the Philippines, and stands on German soil for the very first time. Months of preparation, language courses, recognition procedures and official paperwork culminate in this one moment.

The moment everything builds toward

By this day, every professional has a long path behind them: German courses up to B2 level, recognition of their professional qualification, a visa process that demands its own patience. When the arrival finally comes, it is, soberly speaking, an administrative step, and at the same time something deeply personal for the people we support: the first step into a new life, often thousands of kilometres from their own family.

What actually happens on arrival day

We pick our professionals up personally at the airport. That's not a small detail, it's a deliberate stance: the first contact in Germany should be a familiar face, not an anonymous instruction by email. Right afterwards, it's on to the first accommodation, which we've already prepared, and the first steps of getting oriented in the new environment.

The start of long-term support

For us, the work doesn't end on this day, it moves into a new phase. The weeks after arrival help decide whether someone truly feels at home in Germany. That's why we stay reachable, from registering with the residents' registration office to the first days on the new team.
