This photo is one of the moments we do this work for. A group of international nursing professionals arrives at Berlin Brandenburg Airport, greeted with a banner in the colors of Germany and the Philippines, and stands on German soil for the first time. Months of preparation, language courses, recognition procedures, and errands with authorities all lead up to this one moment.
The moment everything builds toward
By this day, each professional has a long road behind them: German lessons up to B2 level, recognition of their professional qualification, a visa process that demands patience of its own. When arrival finally comes, it's soberly speaking an administrative step, and at the same time, for the people we support, something deeply personal: the first step into a new life, often thousands of kilometers from their own family.
What actually happens on arrival day
We pick our professionals up personally at the airport. That's not a small detail, it's a deliberate stance: the first contact in Germany should be a familiar face, not an anonymous instruction by email. Right after, it's on to the first accommodation, which we've already prepared, and the first steps of getting oriented in the new surroundings.
The beginning of long-term support
For us, the work doesn't end on this day, it enters a new phase right here. The weeks after arrival help decide whether someone really feels at home in Germany. That's why we stay reachable, from registering at the residents' registration office to the first days on the new team.
